On Friday, October 10, the Embassy of Ukraine in Prague hosted the presentation of the literary almanac “Diaspora. lit. ua” — a collection of works by Ukrainian authors from ten countries around the world. It is not just a book, but a living map of the Ukrainian spirit, scattered across the globe yet united in love for its native language.

The anthology features poetry, prose, and interviews with Ukrainians living abroad — some by choice, others forced to leave due to the war. The Prague event brought together writers from Poland, Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine: Tetyana Vyhovska, Kostiantyn Klymchuk, Hanna Hnedkova, Svitlana Luts’kova, Mila Polanska, Olena Oliinyk, Oksana Zaiets, Valentyna Liulich, Myroslava Kyrylchuk, and Valentyna Slukvina.

Poems, songs accompanied by guitar, and heartfelt stories filled the evening with sincerity and inspiration. The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic, Vasyl Zvarych, emphasized that such initiatives are vital today — they prove that Ukrainian literature is alive, growing, and continuing to tell the world the truth about Ukraine.

The first presentation of “Diaspora. lit. ua” took place in Turkey, the second in the Czech Republic, and the next meetings are already being prepared in Kraków and Vienna. Because “Diaspora. lit. ua” is a project that unites.
